Meet the teacher
I would like to take a moment to introduce myself. I have been teaching First Grade at Las Brisas since 2002. Some of you may know me by my maiden name, "Miss Poll". Before joining the staff here, I taught first grade for two years in the Cartwright School District and taught kindergarten and third grade for 4 years in Bakersfield, California.
I love teaching and thoroughly enjoy this grade level. I will encourage your child to challenge what they know and to wonder about what they do not. We will build upon the six pillars of character to become responsible, caring and trustworthy young citizens. It is my goal to have each child leave first grade an independent learner that loves learning!
